#1 Moonbounce Rental company in Atlanta

That’s us!

It’s official.  Thanks to your reviews of our products and services, Thumbtack has named us the #1 Moonbounce rental company in Atlanta!

This is no small feat – there are hundreds of competing companies and every one of them would love to claim this prize.

To understand how important this is, it’s important to understand how many different companies Thumbtack deals with.  On their site, they claim to manage over 5 million different projects each year and work with over 150,000 different companies offering thousands of different types of services.  So this is big…real big.

A quick google search for moonbounce rentals will show you page after page after page of companies renting moonbounces so being rated #1 is something we are very proud of.

But enough about Thumbtack and our competitors – this award is entirely about you, our customer.  Without you, of course, we wouldn’t be where we are and we are truly thankful to have such a great group of customers that enjoy our product and go the extra mile to tell others how much they enjoy working with us.  This means the world to us and in this highly connected digital age, having customers like you that are willing to take that extra step and post a review makes everything worthwhile.

So a big THANKS to you!

Bounce House Fun for Adults too!

A Bouncing Good time for all ages

Last week we talked a bit about having a Bounce House at a Wedding or a Wedding reception.  It can be a contentious topic and, I believe, the final word lies with the bride and groom. Regardless, that brings us to another discussion topic, and that is that Bounce Houses are not just for kids!!  We regularly set up and remove our Bounce Houses from parties and events and often hear about what a great time the kids had.  Occasionally we hear stories about the adults having a good time after the kids are done and we love to hear that!  Just remember the bounce house safety tips outline in our other post (Preventing Bounce House Injuries) when adults decide to enter and your favorite Bounce House Atlanta rental company is right here!

Bouncing Good Times for Adults too!

Every bounce house has a weight rating and  it’s something that must be paid attention to, but what that means is that whereas you might be able to get 8 kids into a bounce house at the same time, you should probably only go with three or four adults at any one time.  And really, as adults, half the fun is doing it by yourself anyway.  And trust us, you won’t be in there long – it’s very, very tiring.   So kick the kids out, or wait until they tire out, and take your turn.

Bounce House Babies

Since this post is about “all ages”, we’d be remiss not to mention the babies.  A baby in a bounce house is a great photo shoot and they have a lot of fun but extreme caution must be taken here.  They should never be left alone by themselves, not even for a second.  The bounce house is made of rubber and if a baby gets into a crack or ends up in a position where she is against the wall incorrectly, the situation can turn bad quickly.  The answer here?  As is so often the case, a good dose of common sense.  As mentioned before, never use a Bounce House as a baby sitter regardless of the age of the participants, but doubly so for the very young.

Bounce House Seniors

Ok, we’re covering the entire spectrum here.  Should Great Grand-dad get in?  Sure, why not.  Great photo op.  But he probably shouldn’t be doing backflips or handstands – keep it real.  Let the elder folks get in with the rest for a picture or two, and maybe some light walking around but, again, common sense prevails.  As with the very young, take great care here.

So there you have it.   Bounce Houses are, of course, a great birthday / Easter / Halloween / Christmas / Spring Break / Summertime / No reason at all / party rental idea.  But don’t leave it just to the kids. It would be a shame to not let the adults get a little bounce time.

Enjoy!

Bounce House Rentals – for Weddings!

Bounce Houses – not just for Birthday Parties

wedding-bounce-house-1 The venerable Bounce House – you’ve seen them at parties and other events with the young ones jumping in them, flipping, wrestling…sweating.  Have you seen any at Weddings or Wedding receptions?  I have – it’s awesome.  We all know the youngsters should be quiet and pay attention to the nuptials and then behave themselves during the reception and other celebrations, but in truth there is often just too much pent up energy.  What better way to let them expend that energy while NOT interrupting or intruding on everybody else’s good time?  A bounce house rental from your favorite party rental location, of course.  For Bounce House Atlanta Rentals, you’ve come to the right place.

There are two sides of this discussion though, as many will say that the kids should be taught to act properly in social settings and that they don’t need to be constantly entertained.  I think that’s a great point of view, but a little unrealistic.  As always, it depends on the age of the kids.  My counter to this is that they can act properly and focus, but then they can also have some fun and get that energy out of their system.  I think it’s a great idea.

The wedding and reception itself will dictate this decision as well.  A super formal wedding and reception is probably not the place for a bounce house.  An informal wedding might be better.  Then again, a formal reception might be exactly the place for it – hide the Bounce House around the corner, make sure somebody is supervising, and let them have their fun while the formal events occur.   Since it’s a wedding, it might make sense to actually hire somebody to monitor the Bounce House – a responsible local teen-ager would be a great hire for something like this.

One thing to consider is that alcohol and Bounce Houses are not a good mix.  Most wedding receptions have alcohol so this should be taken into account.  If the reception is apt to turn into a drunken party, a Bounce House may result in accidents and injuries.  Again, the situation will dictate the best approach.  At Salta, we caution against any use of our Bounce Houses when alcohol is present.   Take a look at our safety article for more injury prevention discussions.  wedding-bounce-house-2

The best part?  We haven’t even talked about the Bride and Groom jumping in it yet!  Who says it’s only for the kids.  I think it’s a great time to put that expensive photographer to work and start snapping pictures of the bride and groom, in full wedding attire, jumping and have a blast.  Get the rest of the wedding party in there too.  Moms and Dads…get in.  There’s a picture that’ll generate conversation for years to come.

Overall, some may have concerns about this approach but the final say is, of course, the bride and groom’s.  It’s their event, let them decide on the best course of action for their wedding.  Given some thought and some realistic consideration, we think most will arrive at the conclusion that a Bounce House at a wedding is a great idea!

Customized Invitations for your party

Customized Invitations

As you know by now, at Salta Bounce Houses of Georgia, our mission is to deliver the fun!  We know that a lot prep work goes into that fun though so we are doing what we can to ease that burden for you a bit.

We’ve been working hard to make sure your parties are fantastic events and with this in mind we have created a few invitations we are happy to offer to you for FREE with your rental.  On our Bounce House Rentals Atlanta rental page, simply select if you’d like an invite emailed to you and, if so, fill in the appropriate information such as date, time, address, etc.  Once we get your reservation, we’ll send you a copy of the invitation via email so you can forward it to the folks you want to attend!  Of course, you’re also free to print them out and snail-mail them to attendees as well – they’re yours to do with as you please.   There are a few templates to choose from but we will be adding more as time goes by.  We’d love to hear what you think of this FREE offering.

Here are the templates we have now.  Of course the name, address, party time, etc will be updated to reflect your requirements:

These are hand crafted invitations – not downloaded or copied and, as such, are completely configurable.  If you would like something else, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Many people these days insist on using old fashioned pen and paper for invitations and we don’t disagree with that approach.  However, for informal birthday parties and such, we think an online invitation is not only completely appropriate, but easier, faster and more convenient to the party planner as well as those that attend.  It also provides a very quick and easy way for people to RSVP.  They can simply reply to the email rather than calling.  Very simple!

Again, we’d love to hear what you think about this and any suggestions you make will be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy!!

Preventing Bounce House Injuries

Bounce House Safety – preventing injuries

Inflatable Bounce houses have become an expected feature at a child’s party these days.  “Inflatable Bouncers”, “Moonwalks”, “Bouncers”…whatever you call them, they create great memories for parties and events and are always an exciting and welcome addition to any kid’s party.

You don’t have to look far, however, to find news of children being hurt in an inflatable Bounce House but it’s important to note that many, if not most of these injuries occurred because very simple, common-sense rules were not being followed.  At your favorite Bounce House Atlanta rental company, we have a long history of safe and satisfied customers – we have never received a notice of any of our customers reporting an injury.  We believe this is in large part because of how careful we are during set up but also because we ensure our customers are well informed on the safety requirements for use of our Bounce Houses.

With this in mind, we’d like to share some Safety tips for use of Bounce Houses.  If you are planning a party or event where a Bounce House will be used, please keep these in mind and ensure all participants at the event, both adult and child, are also aware of them.

Bounce House Safety Tips

  • Although it’s fun to see the real little ones crawl in and have a good time, Bounce Houses should be restricted to children 6 years or older.  If younger children are to use the Bounce House, an adult should be present inside and extreme caution and attention should be paid to the little ones while they are insidebounce-house-safety-info
  • The Bounce House is not a baby-sitter.  An adult should always be present and observing the activities in the Inflatable Bounce House
  • The Bounce House should be used by children of approximately the same age.   If multiple age ranges are present, we usually recommend separating the age ranges and then setting time slots for each age range
  • Shoes, eyeglasses and any sharp objects should be removed before entering
  • Rough housing, shoving, pushing, flipping over each other, wrestling – these are all activities that can cause injury and should be prevented
  • Monitor the Bounce House at all times for either lost air or loose tie down / anchors
  • The weather should be monitored before setting up and at all times while the Bouncer is set up and in use.  If high winds or lightning are anticipated, the Bounce House should be taken down.  If you are unable to take it down, ensure all children are out of the Bouncer during the inclement weather.  A good rule of thumb is to keep an eye on the trees – if you see the tops start to sway excessively, it might be a good time to think about getting the kids out of the Bouncer
  • The Bounce House should be set up on a flat surface, with no underlying rocks or sticks.  The area around the Bouncer should also be free of objects that could puncture the Bounce House or injure children
  • Ideally, the Bounce House should be set up on a nice flat grassy lawn.  If a hard surface is selected for setup, be sure to place some kind of soft surface around the entry/exit areas
  • If you have any questions about the safety of the Bounce House, ask your Bounce House Rental company – they are the experts and will be able to provide guidance

Bounce House Video – Perfectly safe!

Take a look at this video – all of the safety considerations are well taken into account.  If every Bounce House use was as well supervised and thought out as this one, there would be no injuries or other concerns. ***Note*** that the below video is not a Salta Bounce House customer, but is still an excellent example of a Bounce House being used safely so we thought it was a good video to share.

bounce-house-safety-bandaidThere you have it – a few Safety rules for use with your Bounce House.  Your Bounce House Rental company will certainly have more info you so be sure to talk to them about it.   As mentioned before, a Bounce House is an exciting and memorable part of any party or event so don’t hesitate to get one and then be sure the safety rules are known and followed.

Bouncing Good Time - wet or dry slide

This is your chance to have a carnival in your back yard – invites lots of friends, family and neighbors. Kids often remember the bounce house at their party more than any other aspect of the party itself and it becomes a topic of conversation for years to come.

Once the kids get tired (if ever!!) the adults can get some play time as well. Be warned, it can be exhausting – few of us have kid energy anymore so keep that in mind.

There are a couple of reasons to opt for a Bounce House rental for your next party or event.

  • Kids love them, they’ll stay in there all day, and since it’s an enclosed environment you don’t have to worry where they are.
  • Even “hard to please” kids have a great time in the Bounce House.  All gatherings will have the little ones that have a hard time playing with others – many are simply too shy.  A Bounce House encourages them out of their shell and into the bouncy environment to have fun with the other kids.
  • Parents love them, for the same reasons given above! 🙂
  • Many are themed, so the Bounce House can fit into a party theme, or a party or event can be built around the theme of the Bounce House. Either way, great memories are created.
  • Great pictures and videos! In this digital age, photos and videos of the kids having fun are precious and everlasting. Take lots of pictures and videos! Also, Salta is always looking for images and videos for our website so if you have a good one you’d like to share, let us know and we’ll make you famous! Well, not famous, but you can be on our site!

Setup for the Bounce House is quick, so there’s not a lot of time between when the kids see us arrive and when they can actually start playing.  We routinely have the little ones standing around while we set up, asking questions, but really itching to get in and start playing.  Tear down, at the end of the day, is also quick and easy.

Overall, having a Bounce House or two at a party or event will create memories that last far longer than the event itself – it’s a great investment in fun!

Don’t take our word for it – be sure to look at some of the testimonials from our satisfied customers.  We’re sure you’ll agree that a Bounce House for your next party or event is a great idea and will allow the kids (and adults!) have loads of fun throughout the day.

Safety is a key factor with any Bounce House and you see on the news at least a couple of times each year where an inflatable has been caught in a strong wind and children were injured. At bounce-house-safety-bandaidSalta Bounce Houses of Georgia, we take great pride in having zero injuries reported by our customers and expect this very positive trend to continue. Correct setup, weather monitoring and appropriate use of the Bounce House are the key factors to keeping everybody safe and the professionals here at Salta make sure these are well understood by our clients. Take a look at our Bounce House Safety Tips blog post for more info.

We appreciate you checking out our site and our blog – your comments are always welcome!
